The difference
A question from anywhere, or one from your chapter
Which of the following best describes electromagnetic induction?

How a question is made
Nothing reaches a student unchecked
01
Your material
Notes, textbook chapters, past papers and diagrams, attached to each chapter. Private to your institution: never shared with, or adopted by, another.
02
An AI draft
Drafted from that material in your style: guidance you write once at institution, syllabus, course or chapter level carries into every test below it.
03
Your panel approves
An automatic check first, then a vote by your teachers and experts vetted by TestMySkills. No setting skips review.
04
Live
Only then does a student see it. A random sample of live questions is re-checked later, and a wrong one goes back to review.
The 18 that pass the check go to the panel, like the question at the top of this page. Approved questions also feed each student’s adaptive practice →
FAQ
Questions teachers ask about AI questions
Will AI-written questions ever be wrong?
They can be, which is why none reaches a student directly. Each is checked automatically first, then approved by a review panel. Even after a question goes live, a random sample of approved questions is re-checked, and a wrong one goes back to review.
Can an AI-written question reach a student without anyone checking it?
No. Every AI draft is checked automatically and then needs a review panel’s approval. There is no setting that skips review for AI-drafted questions.
Who can see the notes and papers we upload?
Only your institution. Uploaded material is private to you and is never shared with or adopted by any other institution.
Will the questions sound like our syllabus, or like generic AI?
You write standing guidance once, at institution, syllabus, course or chapter level: who your students are, the vocabulary to use, the style to follow. Every test generated below that level inherits it.
Who reviews our questions?
People assigned to review that subject: your own teachers, and subject experts vetted by TestMySkills. Your institution decides who reviews its content.
What if we don’t have enough reviewers yet?
A question that can’t reach a decision goes to a TestMySkills administrator, whose decision is recorded. This is normal while a new institution builds its panel.
Does it work for JEE, NEET and other entrance exams?
Not yet. AI drafting works in academic courses today. For competitive exam tests, questions are picked from the reviewed questions already in the bank.
Full specification: what you control, and the rules the panel works by
- What you can upload
- PDF, Word and text documents, images, audio, video, YouTube links, or pasted text.
- Privacy
- Uploaded material belongs to your institution only. It is never shared with, or adopted by, another institution.
- Guidance
- Written once at institution, syllabus, course or chapter level and reviewed before use; add notes for a single test on top.
- Difficulty
- Set the mix of easy, medium and hard questions per test.
- Thinking levels
- Target levels from Bloom’s taxonomy, Webb’s Depth of Knowledge, SOLO or Dreyfus, alone or in combination.
- Multiple choice
- Choose three, four or five options per question, test by test.
- Equations
- A visual equation editor for maths, physics and chemistry when writing or editing questions. No LaTeX needed.
- Where it works today
- AI drafting works in academic courses. Competitive exam, certification and skills tests are assembled from reviewed questions already in the bank.
- Stages
- Drafted → checked → in review → live, or sent back with a note and returned for rework. Retired questions stay on record.
- Staff-written questions
- Can go through the same review. A TestMySkills administrator can also publish one directly, and that choice is recorded. AI drafts can never skip review.
- Panel
- By default three reviewers vote and two-thirds must approve. Your institution can change both numbers.
- Who can review
- Only people assigned to review that subject. A general expert profile doesn’t grant access to your private content.
- Deadlocks
- Too few eligible reviewers, or a tie, goes to a TestMySkills administrator, and their decision is recorded.
- Trust levels
- Reviewers move from New to Standard, Trusted and Expert as their record grows: after 10, 50 and 200 reviews, with enough agreement from their panels.
- Independent votes count more
- A vote cast while the panel is still split counts for more than one that joins an agreement already formed.
- Unusual activity
- A sudden burst of reviews from one person is flagged for someone to look at. It never blocks the reviewer on its own.
- Audits
- A random sample of approved decisions is re-checked, whatever the reviewer’s level.
- A wrong live question
- Goes back into review for a fresh decision rather than being deleted. The finding is noted on the original review for a person to weigh, never used to penalise a reviewer automatically.
- Sharing
- Publish your own courses and questions for other institutions to adopt, or adopt theirs. Everything stays private until you choose. You see how many institutions adopted yours; completion and pass rates appear only once at least three others teach it.
